Video is the largest format for content consumption on all platforms. As we expand past native advertising, we used the same ethos that helped us start the native advertising landscape. Our goal: make video ads fit in and improve the user experience without being interruptive. During the interview, Frank points to our research and discovery that a majority of people keep their phones on mute, as well as the growing demand for captions across all screens.

Additionally, Frank shares insights into how brands and advertisers can adapt to the modernized consumer habit of watching video across Connected TV, mobile, and other devices and screens.

About Calibrate—

Founded in 2015, Calibrate is a yearly conference for new engineering managers hosted by seasoned engineering managers. The experience level of the speakers ranges from newcomers all the way through senior engineering leaders with over twenty years of experience in the field. Each speaker is greatly concerned about the craft of engineering management. Organized and hosted by Sharethrough, it was conducted yearly in September, from 2015-2019 in San Francisco, California.
